The best beaches of Albania

I admit that I have been using silly ranking lists like the title of this post suggests to find good beaches in the world, and maybe all other best-beaches-of lists on the internet are legitimate, but my best-of… anything really are just lists of the places I have visited and there is a good chance that I have missed the actual best. So don’t let this stop you from exploring unlisted or even unreported places. The featured photo of this post is not even a beach, but crystal clear water just gets me mesmerized.

Typically the better beaches of Albania are in the south, or more specifically, south of the city of Vlorë. North of Vlorë is the Adriatic sea and south the Ionian. On some days you can see the border between the two seas in the bay of Vlorë. Although to many people the Adriatic sounds dreamy and exotic, Albanians snub the Adriatic.
